Primates
Primates are an order within the class of mammals, comprising over 200 species of monkeys and apes. There are many similarities among the various primates—including humans. Their brains are the largest in nature relative to body size, with the forebrain especially well developed. Almost every species has fingerprints. Their social lives are both diverse and highly developed. For me, it is hard to imagine a more thrilling experience than a first encounter with an ape in its wild environment. Your breath catches, and the sense of astonishment at the resemblance to yourself lingers for a long time…
